The Ballad of Sue Tonium

There is a new comic debuting 13 October at the Asheville Comic Expo.  The Ballad of Sue Tonium is a love letter to roller derby, especially Asheville's own Blue Ridge Rollergirls Allstars and the French Broads, as well as the Mad Divas.

12th Annual VA Motorcycle Poker Run and Field Games

Please join us at this wonderful event!

This fundraiser supports identified needs of Veterans at the Asheville VA Medical Center.  There is a bike ride that ends at the VA hospital/nursing home, where you can then find bike games, food, great music (Twist of Fate), and your favorite rollergirls!  The nursing home residents come out and have a wonderful time!

Support your local rollergirls and help them raise money for travel funds.  Away games are amazing, but it means gas, hotel, food... raising money helps reimburse skaters for these expenses.

Derby Babies - up your readiness!

Hey Derby Babies!

Been to a bootcamp or two and ready to jump in and practice your skills a few times a week?  If you want to be ready for your assessments, you need to spend as much time as possible on skates.  One way to do that is to attend BRRG practice sessions.

Practices are now open to babies for $20 a month.  Attend on Saturday at 10am, Sunday at 8pm or Wednesday at 7pm.  Don't miss this chance to work on your skills and get an inside peek on what being a rollergirl is all about.  Get to know your future teammates as they get their skills down too!

First home bout of the season!

What an amazing time last night was!  Thank you so much to all the skaters, refs, NSO's, volunteers, and most of all fans that came out last night to the WNC AG Center to share a great time with us!  Be sure to check out all the photos from the bout on facebook.  If you took some please share the link on our facebook page!
